Content And Inbound Links

Hair and fountain webmasters work together for great results.

Gain Top Search Engine Results by Working with Other Webmasters

Learn how a webmaster of a hair site teamed together with a webmaster of an indoor fountain site to help each other in their search engines results.

Content is king. For all those wanting to have online success it is no secret that it is important to have relevant unique content on your site. Fresh quality content will help separate one site from the pack and help propel them to the top of the search engine rankings. This is no secret. Search engine results are influenced by keywords within great content; however this is not the only important component to success online.

Google really brought a new component into the mix to gain rank within its search results. Within their algorithms they not only value fresh unique content, but they also place a high importance on the number of links pointing to a particular page. These links which are pointing to a page (commonly called back links) help rank that pageís importance within the Google index. This concept stems back to the days when Google was actually called Back Rub. Back Rub was Larry Page and Sergey Brinís Stanford University project and it was based on a mathematical algorithm with the following philosophy; the importance of a site is determined by the importance of the back links pointing to it.

By truly understanding and combining these two concepts a webmaster can create a very effect strategy to gain solid search results within Google.

While keeping this in mind I want you to switch gears with me. I want you to think of one of the most powerfully effective life strategies - the idea of creating win/win situations. A win/win situation reflects the thought that I want to help you and in return I will also receive some benefit from the relationship. This mind set goes as far as to say that if both parties involved do not receive gain then the deal is not worth pursuing. This philosophy is applicable within any relationship, business or otherwise.

The real power comes when these concepts are all connected. Internet success James Martell took these concepts and combined them together to create a deadly online success strategy. One web master contacts another webmaster that operates a site that has a related theme offing them a unique, never-before-published article, geared for their visitor while using general SEO (Search Engine Optimization) techniques that bridges the gap between the two web site topics. This article is supplied free of charge with the understanding that the article will be published with several (2-4) links back to the original webmasterís site. Both parties gain something of importance, one receives original content and the other receives back links,; a win / win situation.

The article that is supplied should not be previously published online and because the article links two topics together the article will have a unique slant and likely not be a duplicate theme of many other articles online.

Let me show you an example of this strategy. As the publisher of a site focused on indoor waterfall fountains I contacted webmasters of a number of sites that I knew I could supply an article that bridged the gap in a unique way that provided very solid, unique content and that brought value to the other site. Here are some real life examples.

Some webmasters are open to this arrangement because they see the value in the content and understand the power in win / win relationships. All the articles were well received because it provided the webmaster with relevant content to both sites with a very unique slant. I received inbound links from quality respected websites. Both parties receive something of value to help them with their internet presence - a true win / win relationship.

Of course not all webmasters accept this type of arrangement, but the strategy is very effective because there are enough webmasters that see the value in such an arrangement. It is important to approach webmasters that operate sites with topics that are related to your site, but not your direct competitors. Not many webmasters with indoor fountain sites would be open to helping my progress even if they receive value themselves. However because the webmasters are in fields that are not in direct competition for the same search engine keyword traffic they recognize the opportunity both ways and are much more likely to consent to such an arrangement.

If content is king, then inbound links must be the queen. By recognizing the importance of both and combine in the philosophy of creating win / win relationships to move your business ahead you will open up a new world of opportunities and start your road to the top of the search engines. Often our own success can be done while working with others and not simply seeing everyone else as a threat. Once the concept of win / win becomes part of your business and relational thinking you can really propel your online business.
